Thank you for your interest in serving on the Board of Directors! We are a grassroots network of hundreds of community members with an inspiring vision to do pioneering things on a unique, 65-acre parcel of land on Madison’s east side. We are motivated by love, kindness, and the opportunity to create a one-of-a-kind neighborhood of the future.
We seek individuals for our Board who represent the wide diversity of the Madison area community, give voices to the needs of underrepresented members, and bring new skills, experience, and leadership to the project.
Your responsibilities as a board member:
- As a Director on the Save the Farm Board you will have a seat at the decision-making table that governs all high-level decisions taken by our organization.
- The Board also has fiduciary responsibility over tens of thousands of funds donated by hundreds of community members.
- We meet once a month for an hour-long meeting and periodically communicate through email, text, and phone calls between meetings. Due to the fast pace of this exciting project, some months we may meet twice, and others times the frequency of emails/texts might be high (fair warning), but normally there’s only a handful of communications per month.
